With almost three decades of culinary expertise, Joel Harris is a distinguished chef celebrated for his exceptional skills in crafting remarkable dishes. Joel’s journey through the culinary world has been shaped by a rich tapestry of global experiences and a deep dedication to his craft.
Joel’s passion for food ignited during his final year of high school, but it was his subsequent service in the army that truly broadened his culinary horizons. Stationed in Europe, he was exposed to unique local ingredients and innovative cooking methods. This exposure sparked a recommendation from one of his officers to attend culinary school, leading Joel to graduate from Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina.
Driven by a desire to deepen his culinary expertise, Joel relocated to Maui in 2005. This move allowed him to immerse himself in the vibrant local and Pacific Rim cuisines, further enhancing his appreciation for diverse ingredients and flavors.
Joel’s culinary artistry is rooted in his passion for delivering happiness through his creations. His extensive experience on Maui has not only enriched his culinary repertoire but also deepened his connection to local ingredients and traditions.
